Nearshore Fishing can be anywhere the fishing has been “hot” near the keys. Different locations range from the Gulf of Mexico to the back country, Hawks Channel, the barrier reef, and just beyond the reef. Occasionally will stop at a wreck or submerged structure a little further south. Usually we target something worthy to put on your grill or take to a local restaurant. Locally preferred edible fish include wahoo, black fin tuna, grouper, snapper, cero mackerel, yellow jack, cobia, trout, and more. Gamefish like tarpon, shark, sailfish and king mackerel, ladyfish, barracuda, amber jack, jack crevalle, goliath grouper and others might interest you; however, we mostly release. We might troll lures/ballyhoo, chum a reef/structure, or drift live bait. It’s all about what’s biting, where. We might try several different places and practice a few different techniques. Ex: Jigging, stinger wire rig, knocker rig, etc..
Nearshore rates for two people: 4 hours= $400, 6 hours= $550, 8 hours=$700
Offshore Fishing “beyond the reef” gives you the opportunity to catch a trophy fish in our spectacular blue waters! Reel in the big fish like wahoo, black fin tuna, dolphin, deep water grouper, tilefish, tripletail, amber jack, and sailfish to name a few. If your into “meat fishing”, this is the type of charter for you. Although we may have up to four adults and two kids on this type of charter; this is not always comfortable on choppy water. Three to four adults is ideal. 1,000 pounds is the maximum weight for passengers and their belongings. Some tactics might include dropping baits to the deep depths of the ocean floor, trolling rigged lures, and drifting live bait. We may “run and gun” , searching for birds, lines of Sargasso, or manmade debris in hopes of bigger fish below. The boat leaves somewhat early or rather late because that’s when the offshore bite happens. You help decide, after all, it IS your vacation!
Offshore rates for two people: 6 hours=$650, 8 hours=$750, 10 hours=$850
Additional people: $25 each (13 yrs. old & <) ~ Under 12 yrs. old are FREE when accompanied by 2 adults
*Taking Dramamine or Bonine beforehand is recommended for people sensitive to motion sickness.
*Refunds will be granted when cancellations are made more than two weeds prior to scheduled trips.
*Refunds may also be given when hazardous weather cannot be avoided as determined by the captain.
